What does it mean to fear the Lord?
Contrary to all human reasoning, to fear the Lord means to be so struck with awe at God's love for you as seen in Jesus giving His life for you on the cross that you believe! As you do, His love invades your inner being; becoming your life, your love; the single source of your every motivation in life.
And because this perfect love casts our all fear, we find ourselves fully confident that God is for us; and if God is for us who or what can possibly be against us?!
To fear God is to find yourself convinced in the depths of your heart through the Spirit, that He loves you; that He is for you; causing you to actually fear nothing, both now and ever more. -- For He hath given us His perfect, incorruptible, indestructible life; and all who believe have become partakers, one with that life! And live our lives in awe!
